Water Damage

Nothing is more alarming than walking into a room and feeling squish squish under your toes. That sound should never be coming from your carpet. If it is then you have a burst pipe or a water heater leak. Maybe it’s a leaky roof after a heavy rainfall or perhaps someone left a sink or a tub running. Whatever it is and however it happened you don’t have much time before mildew and even mold can begin forming. It’s very important that your carpet is pulled back from the wall and the air movers placed to dry it and the padding before a re-installation can happen. It is also important to know that the tack strips along the wall also need to be completely dry and sometimes replaced if the water has weakened them. That’s just a bit of friendly advice from me to you but when you have water damage in your carpet, call us and we’ll respond promptly.
